An SIS is a district’s official system of record for state reporting, housing raw data like grades, daily attendance, and demographics. Panorama integrates with your SIS to pull that raw data, combine it with behavioral and survey data, and visualize it in a way that helps counselors and teachers actively track interventions and identify at-risk students.

Panorama’s early warning system (EWS) works by pulling daily attendance, behavior, and coursework (ABC) data directly from a district's SIS. The platform uses customizable thresholds, such as missing 10% of school days or dropping below a C average, to automatically flag students who are falling off track, allowing support teams to intervene before a student fails a course or becomes chronically absent.

Panorama natively supports multi-language translation, allowing families and students to take surveys in over 30 different languages. The platform also offers read-aloud accommodations and a mobile-friendly interface for families who may only have access to a smartphone.

While Panorama provides a bank of research-backed questions, school districts decide which questions to ask, when and how to administer the surveys, and how to use the data. Many school districts also develop and customize their own survey questions to run within Panorama. Our survey questions do not ask about students’—or their families’—personal and private attitudes, values, beliefs, or practices.

Yes. Most districts provide either an active consent (opt-in) or passive consent (opt-out) mechanism, allowing parents to review the questions beforehand and excuse their child from participating.
